Chaz Knebel
I installed my second alt. yesterday on my 04 Ford Explorer. Well after figuring the harness out and how to excite the Iraggi I sat inside and watched my voltage climb all the way to damn near 18 volts. I have the stock alt. on a redtop under the hood for car electrical and the Iraggi 320 on a yellowtop, Energie 3600, Kinetik 1800, and a bank of 6 boost caps. Someone PLEASE help me out with some advice. I was told to put a 470 ohm 1/2 watt resistor inline on the exciter wire????

Chaz Knebel
Thats the thing i figured out which wire was the exciter wire on my stock alt. and spliced into it and ran that to my second alt it was working with the stock 4 pin chevy alt from autozone. Until i switched it out with Iraggi.
SnowDrifter
First thing I'd do is verify pinouts. Get a diagram for your vehicle, get a diagram for your vehicle's stock alt, get a diagram from Iraggi. Start cross checking and verifying ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
