Boofster
Hi all, I just purchased a Soundqubed HDX3 15" and I'm trying to decide on whether or not I should use the enclosure design on their website. This is the link to their page but unfortunately I can't link with the options filled out. *Ported enclosure https://soundqubed.com/diy-enclosures/ My concern is that they recommend this enclosure regardless of which 15" subwoofer you purchase. Does that mean there is potential left on the table, and that I would be better off having a box designed specifically for this sub? Or will that enclosure perform well enough? I listen to mainly rap music so I try to build ported enclosures with a tuning frequency of 33hz, this one is tuned to 35hz so that's close enough for me. It's going into the back of a jeep cherokee so there aren't really limitations on space if it ends up being better for me to have one designed. Thanks in advanced,
k58.cross
I'd put the t-s params in WinISD and see what it says your volume and port length should be for the tuning you want. You're right it's sketchy that they recommend the same box despite the sub. Different subs have different parameters.
