Well decided on 4 hds2 12s in a modified wedge shape 24 tall, 20deep, 13 front flat edge tall, 13 45*( ish haven't figured out exact angles yet) leaning back , and 13 top shelf, by 54 wide. That's 11.67cubes , .07 each sub displacement, gives each sub 2.84 cubes. Now that's before bracing and port displacement. No have to figure out how big of aeroport to use. I'm thinking 2 8"? Wanna tune way low, like 28ish if I can, 34 max. Anyone got suggestions on how to port this? I have zero experience with aeroports. I have access to all kinds of sonotube and could probably play around but rather have a pretty good idea before I start. Sq suggest just over 2 cubes per 12, so that gives me roughly 3.25 displacement for ports.

2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. All done by me. stereo is Pioneer avh 600ex, all stinger rca, jp23 v1.5, skar rp150.4, and hertz hpd4. 2 SHCA 6.5 8ohm, 1 SHCA 3.5", and 1 DS18 tw120pro in each door. The 3.5 mid and 3.5" tweeters are powered by the skar rp150.4, the 6.5s are powered by the hertz bridged @4 ohms. Dual runs   of 3/0 welding cable, 300a alternator, 2 Vmax AGMs up front. current sub is a AB XR 12 ( dual 2 ohm) with bottom spider cut out in 2.25 cubes at 32hz

I was thinking maybe 3 15s, lots of people run 4 12s, lol my wife has 4 12s...

But on the quickness thing, it really is sub and box dependent.

I used to have 2 15s forward fire, ports to each side on my old 2000 ext cab. I liked it alot. Or subs forward and port up against the back wall.

I was thinking 3 15s too, but all my power is at .5 ohm so I'm kinda stuck at 4 4dvc or 6 2dvc subs unless I can find 3 1dvc subs. Still 11.5 cubes is big enuff for 3 15s. Same box with minor mods would work.

You can run 3 dual 4s at .67... close enough.

No matter what it will bang better than the 4 8s lol

So now is it 3 audiopipe txx-bd2 15s, 3 hds2 15s, 3 American bass XD 15s, or 3 massive gtx 15s? All under $130 each and gives me sum extra cash for sum aeroports

My plan started with the 4 8s under my rear seat and after hours and hours of cutting cardboard, taping, measuring and cussing (and of course drinking) I gave up, that and the basic slot port I built and sat ontop of the seat sounded great and it was already built. Now I have no where for groceries so if I run 3 15s facing forward and ports forward I can use the top of the box for a luggage rack and upgrade the bass. Rear seat out and trim panels over the box it'll be a step up all the way around. Appreciate the catch on the ohm load for sure , brain gets going and it misses stuff pretty easily.

Yea I hear ya. I have 2 boys in car seats so my back seat has to stay. My last sierra I did 2 audiopipe 15s on a 2500 just like your talking. It metered 146 @ 47 in the kick btw. But it was tuned like 30hz lol slammed the lows. Then had 1 son so back seat went back in. Years later I'm back in a truck.

This sierra I built a 2" seat lift, and I'm squeezing every dimension just to fit these 3 8s and a 6" aero port. But I am determined to make it fit hahaha
