bigone5500
I have the Pioneer DEH-S6010BS and want to understand what the crossover setting does. In particular, the part that goes from -6 to -24. If you looked at the display, you would see it as: HPF 150 hZ -24. The frequency and last number are adjustable. You can select HPF, LPF, and Subwoofer. I have searched for information on this but have came up empty handed.
bigone5500
A thought I just had is if my amp (Orion XTR750.4) has a HPF crossover already on it, then do I really need the one the head unit provides?
ToNasty
I'd do it on the headunit and set the amp to full pass if it has that ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
bigone5500
So I sat down and attempted to figure out what is happening when you adjust the last setting. When I go from -24 to -6 I get more bass. I get that but what is happening? Is the last number a fine tune? I really need a visualization or a good explanation. My brain is telling me to stop... ToNasty
That setting is is how fast and steep the crossover falls off. I prefer LW which is 24db ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
