You’re welcome! I’ve never ran yinglong but I’ve heard good things about them. About 50ah of lithium and a 370 alternator is all you need. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
1point21gigawatts Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 Make some yinglong banks “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”

I have a friend running 2 dc 5ks on 8 juggernaut 12s in a 6th order on 80ah of lithium and a dual alternator set up. 2 240 amp alternators and he stays go between 14.6 and 14.8 on every bass note. He always runs more battery than he needs. He doesn’t need that many amp hours of lithium, but fugh it, it’s enough for 2 240 amp js alternators to charge and stay steady. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”

I'va saw a lot that people use low output alts, with high capacity of battery bank and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to fully charge and runin setup again...

Omg, I thought you were talking about 120 amp hours of lithium. Lol! I didn’t know you were talking about a 120 amp alternator. And I thought that picture of that set up was yours. Omg I’m wearing a dunce cap right now. Lol! I bet everyone is like wtf, here goes 1point21gigawatts again lol! Nah dude, you need a way bigger alternator that that to support that amp. You are gonna be dropping real low on voltage running that 120 and going too low too much will fugh something up. Don’t use a 120 amp alternator on an 8k. 120 amps can only charge so much so fast. You need a way bigger alternator for that set up. You done spent all this money on top notch digital design gear, why not spend another $500-$900 on a 370 or 390 amp alternator? The alternator is the heart of a vehicle electrical system. Never skimp out in the alternator department. That’s a big no no, bro. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”

Thanks a lot I got that completely I consider 120ah of lithium yinlong with a mechman 240 alt, maybe upgrade to 320 elite...

That’s not enough alternator to charge that much lithium. Just get a mechman 370 and 2 40ah yinglong banks. Wire the cells in series. 6 in each bank. And wire the 2 banks together in parallel. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”

You did me a favor thanks a lot So by using a 370alt there is no need to 120ah? 80ah is enough? Dont you have infos about box and enclosure for my Z18?
