You can go ahead with your current design with 40" of port length you will be tuned to 29.24 hz Or you can shorten your port to 33.37" of port length and you will be tuned to 32 hz The lower tuning (29.24) will need an infrasonic/subsonic filter at 23 hz The higher tuning (32) will need an infrasonic/subsonic filter at 24 hz I'd recommend the 32 hz tuning imo. You will be able to play louder above tuning than the lower tuning box. Unless you only care about the lows, then by all means go for the 29hz tune with your current sketchup. Either one will be great for you Dude thank you so much. I really appreciate your help like i said ive been out the box game for about 5 years and your servin as a great professor. So my last build i had 3 l7 15's tuned to about " 33" hertz on the same rockfordfosgate amp in a grand marquis ( request if you want to see box ) . So in this ride which is a 2015 chrysler 300 s im looking looking to push 1 l7 15 at a much lower range of hertz. Thank your for all your help joshdashef
barkingspider Posted May 9, 2020 Author Report Posted May 9, 2020 Here is how the box came out incase anyone was curious, unfortunately my amp bit the dust before i could test it out =(. I gotta send it off to rockford to have it fixed.
