HumbleDeer Posted May 1, 2020 Report Share Posted May 1, 2020 Assuming they are connected to each other, it's electrically safe but very bad practice. Why not connect both to the battery? Alternators are usually connected to the battery. If need be for storage and peak supply, you could get an extra battery in there somewhere. Be careful with proper fusing though. Anything that goes from your battery to the trunk NEEDS a fuse before leaving the fire wall. You do not want a fire in your car. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
