OneEyedJack Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 Hey y'all, I'm looking for enclosure design plans for a single Audiopipe TXX-BDC4 15D2 (2800watt), with a 3500watt Populus Audio amp. Is there a website where I can download design plans the build the best box to match this sub?
1point21gigawatts Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 That subwoofer CAN’T HANDLE that amp. You would need 2 of them subwoofers, at least, and you would have to send that dual 2 ohm subwoofer back and get 2 dual 4 ohm subwoofers and wire them in parallel to 1 ohm or get 2 dual 1 ohm subwoofers and wire them in series to 1 ohm. And you would have to have the gain set correctly and never past the half way point. Plus with that amp, you need to power it with 2 1/0 awg wires and ground it with 2 1/0 awg wires. You can’t leave any of them power and ground inputs on that amp empty. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
florida622stl Posted March 20, 2021 Report Posted March 20, 2021 Did you ever find a good box design? If so can ya help me out bc i just bought the exact same woofer with a taramps HD3000.1 2ohm amp.
