CorNut Posted June 29, 2020 Report Share Posted June 29, 2020 I messed up when assembling my box, it's (slot port) angled and has less port area than designed. The amp is a Kicker CXA 800.1 running @ 1ohm. The amp has a built in 25hz subsonic filter, it can't be turned off nor can it be adjusted. Currently, the setup is tapped into the factory amp via high level input but that's changing next weekend when I add an AmpPro & 4 channel amp. The factory amp has a subsonic filter around 40hz so safety of the sub hasn't been a concern up to this point. Is that low of tuning something to worry about? I didn't realize what I did until I used a DATS v3 to check my work. I can't believe I did that, after seeing it was tuned low and investigated why, it was obvious my port wasn't straight. I'm mad at myself for that, it still gets plenty loud for the notes above the factory filter so I'm not concerned about the lost output above tuning.
