Guest Caps Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 does anyone know how to mod an hk4000d to run at 1 ohm? ive heard of it being done without any mods, but i figured i would ask anyway. i know they can be modded to take 18v, but i dont have that kinda power. i just wanna run my dual 2 ohm solo x on it. PaulO2288 Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 LOL No it cant. My buddy has 1 and another one on the way and had someone wire the subs for him and wired it down to 1 ohm not 2 due to not wireing the voice coils right and set the amp on fire! 2 ohm stable. Quote
