So why not replace your exhaust then first or have it checked out then if not already dont then to see if you have a leak someone in your exhaust, because that will deffinitally make it sound loud and sound terrible.

The only thing your really going to get quite is stock. Doesent really get any quiter than than. My 99 4.3 V6 Blazer I have a CAI, along with a FlowMaster 40 with 2.50" Pipeing and that thing rumbles and gets stupid loud, but if you want quite ummm maybe 2 stock like mufflers?

Oh my buddy was saying something about lucas oil stabilizer but it was wierd, he also said something with a heavy weight real thick oil or something. Im going to get the stablilizer tomorrow.

1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3 V6. Bought it with a bad motor, rod bearing shot so dropped a new 4.3 in with 30,000 miles on it from a friend whos Astro had got into a minor rear end accident he lost his bumper lol and the insurance totaled it so I have the motor and just have a tad over 3000 miles on it

LOL yeah its got plenty of oil. It is time for an oil change. Its about 3200 miles, im going to just do the oil change if I cant find out anything to do before hand. Thanks for the quick answer though.

I have a lifter tick/knock some people say tick some say knock, but either way i was told to put some flluid in the oil that i cant remember the name of right now in it drive a good 40 miles and drain the oil and do an oil change. Anyone know anymore info on how to cure this problem? Last thing i would want is to screw up the cam etc.

Nothing you said lol so i wasent sure if you were asking a serious question or looking for laughings. A tune up such as sparkplugs, cap and wires, better high flowing air filter, possible cold air intake, better flowing exhaust theres a bunch.

You dont want backpressure at all. What you need is exhaust velocity. Backpressure is bad and reduces power horribly. You could take any car/truck and redo the whole exhaust with nothing but straight pipe, Not too small so it wont scavenge all the exahust gases from the cylinders, but not too larger so you loose velocity from the cylinders from removeing and pushing out the exhaust as fast as possibly. You could take a a camaro, mustang, corvetter or even a civic and stright pipe it to a correct size not to small yet not to large and it will make more power than any exhaust you could put. Haveing a cat and a muffler are only there to meet with regulations of emissions and db exhaust levels. Aftermarket exhausts are very much more freeflowing then stock but still restrict compared to open header/s or straight pipe/s. I would deffintally look into a better intake deffintally a cold air intake absolutly with a heat shield to keep away from engine bay heat, high flow air filter, and pretty much everything ktownsdriftking said theres just no reason for me to repeat it.

Thats why im just useing Fuel Injector cleaners and they made a huge difference, But my friend did always need 93 in his Jeep and he had put 87 in it and it knocked and pinged like hell and he would put a bottle of octane booster in and it would go away. Thats why I was wondering also.

Ive always usually used STP Fuel Injector cleaner or STP Octane Booster but im now useing Lucas Fuel Injection/Carb cleaner now with my gas when I fill up but I was wondering if anyone knows the Octane of the Boosters usually? They are 12oz Bottles. I was just wondering what kind of octane it really is and what it boosts you up to. Because they all say Jet Fuel and barely street lega and yada yada yada lol.

Yeah flowmaster is deffintally for the muscle sound

I hate magnaflow or shall I say magnashit but they sound good on cars like that. Also DC and Borla do sound good.
