Edward109 Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Iam cutting speaker holes for a pair of Skar Audio 12 ZXF the including paperwork says cutout is 11.13" Iam using a Jasper Gig which has a hole for 11.16 which i assume is to big. If anybodys familiar with JG and its measurments, what would be ideal size for that 11.13 cutout...THx
1point21gigawatts Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Just draw a 11 1/8” (11.125”) circle and then cut inside the line, because on the line could turn out too big and outside the line would for sure be too big and too small is always better. If the cutout is too small, which I always cut mine too small on purpose, then sand it until the subwoofer fits snug. If I were the one doing the cuts on that enclosure, I would cut inside the line and then sand it until it’s snug and tight like a virgin. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
