XtremeSPL-SCAMMER
okay i have an enclosure with the demensions: I need to know how big to make the port.. it is a sealed enclosure and i want to port it.. it is for 2 12" woofers... and please let me know how many cubic ft it is 10.5 Width 30.5 Length 16.5 Height the enclosure is a funny shape.. so it is a little over them dimensions.. but they are close to then... i was going to make my own port 2" Wide and go down 12" and go 12" deep into the enclosure so it is a rectangle port right in the front of the enclosure.. duct_tape123
Depending on subs trying to port that box is useless. Its 2.0 ft^3 sealed. 2ft^3 is the usually the volume for ONE sub ported, usually. What brand and model are the subs? duct_tape123
Is it a wedge shape? Deeper at the bottom than the top? The CVR12"s need minimum of 1.75ft^3 + port displacement (quoted from their manual). That box would be good for 1 of them ported, but not 2. For 2 you would need MINIMUM 3.5ft^3 + port displacement. XtremeSPL-SCAMMER
i was going to use my straight edge and go from top of the sub to the other and make a line.. then do the same on the bottom.. then in the center of theenclosure in all that dead space, i was going to put it right in the middle.. and cut a slit in it.. and then built the port.. duct_tape123
At the most that box is 3ft^3. If you want ported you should build a new box that is as deep as one of the corners all the way across. How deep is the box at one of the front corners?
