Second Skin Audio

Enclosure suggestions? Your input is appreciated.

So, the Audio Legion Flash Sale talked me into this behemoth. I have limited space in my Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. I removed the smaller back seat. I made a platform for it to sit on. Currently have a RE Audio SXX 10v2 dual 4 ohm wired to 2 ohm in a LAB Slapbox, running on my JP23. It’s not enough bass for my speakers as loud as they are.

Can anyone help with design ideas for listening to a wide variety of music? I like it all. Country, rap, metal, r&b.

I can't quite make out the exact model of the sub.  Can you point me to where the T/S parameters and details for the sub are and I can play around in WinISD and see what might give you the best range.

Are you planning on using a different sub amp or staying with what you've currently got?

S3015 v1 is the model on the box. Can't find a manual or specs anywhere. I was supposed to get a different looking sub. Audio Legion is not answering phones or replying to emails. First pic is what I ordered. Second pic is what looks like what I got but not exact. Idk what to do.

I could have sworn I replied to this post earlier, but I must have messed up and not submitted the reply or something dumb like that.

So if you don't have any luck finding the T/S parameters anywhere, they can be measured using an SMD IM-SG+ or a Dayton Audio DATs system.  Any chance you have or know somebody that has one of those tools?  If not, you might be able to call around to some shops in your area to see if they may have one of them and can measure out the sub for a small fee.

If you go the measuring route, it would probably worth working to break in the sub for a good 10-20 hours before measuring it to break in the soft parts and get a more accurate measurement.

If measuring the sub params isn't an option, maybe build an enclosure based on parameters of the closest Skar sub you can find and go from there.

Here is a video of breaking in a pair of DD Audio Power Tuned 1510s.  I used a pair of saw horses and some clamps to hold them down and ran them with sweeps and intermittent single frequency tracks for about 20ish hours.  I started them off on a 500w RMS amp, moved them to a 1k RMS amp about half way through the break-in:
