Prv dsp input and output parametric equalizer problems

I'm trying to use the input and output eq settings but when I change the db or q of one frequency all the other frequencies change too... Not sure if it works like I assumed it would but I watched a couple videos and got the same idea that I'm supposed to be able to change each individual frequency... Is this normal or am I missing a setting or what?

There is a single parametric EQ per channel, just one frequency and one Q (bandwidth).  This I would use to eliminate a major peak in your frequency response, set and forget.
