Canadaf150
Hey everyone. 1st time poster. So im building a forward firing underseat sub box housing 4 ct sounds tropo 6.5 powered off an saz1000d at 1 ohm. Was originally going to slot port but with the angle of the top of the box and no table saw its proving difficult. Which brings me here. I think im going with aero ports for my 1st time. From my research i need around 10 square inches per cube with aeros. The box comes out to 1.78 gross and im shooting for about 35hz Does 2 3 inch ports 6 inches long sound right? Joe X
Welcome, 2 3 inch ports 6 inches long in the resulting 1.6 net box would tune you to 50Hz, and port area would be about 3.5 square inches of port area per driver, 12 per driver is what CT wants but I have not modeled that sub yet. Canadaf150
Yes after using a different program it appears 6.5 inches long would be for a single 3 inch round port. After further research its looking like 2 3 inch round ports 21 inchs long. 12 sq inchs of port per driver seems crazy doesnt it? That would put me at 48 sq " in a 1.6 cube box. I was assuming ct sounds meant 12 sq " per cube
