Did one in my old Audi and it sounded really good. I was playing with them a few years in home theater applications and the bass was incredible. Appreciate the info, I just remember seeing them in magazines from coverage of sound offs and thought they were a cool concept. These setups I'm talking about were probably mid to possibly late 90's, before the super woofers (Long excursion) came along. I figured it was meant for some sort of bass tuning or extension.
