ClownGuy
I have an American bass Elite 1544 15" sub. At there website it says in the details section - Ported Box (Ft3) - 2.5, although I think this is for their 12 inch sub because the cutout size for the speaker says Cutout Size (In) - 10.94 which cant be right for a 15". In the specifications section it says - PORTED BOX (FT3) 3.25. My question is will this 15" sub work well in a 2.6 cu ft internal air space. The box im using has 2.6 cu ft internal airspace -It is a Rockville RSV15 Single 15" box. Enclosure Measurements: Type of Enclosure: Ported/Vented Enclosure Sub Size: Single 15" Dimensions in Inches: 21" x 18" x 16.25" Top and Bottom Depth: 16.25" Mounting Depth: up to 15" (enough depth for any shallow sub on the market) Gross Volume Per Sub (Measurement for the outer dimensions of the box): 3.5 Cubic Feet Net Volume Per Sub (Measurement for the outer dimensions of the box less the thickness of the wood): 2.6 Cubic Feet The box is ported and tuned to 32hz, and i'm not sure of the port dimensions though. Joe X
You can't get out all the output this sub can offer in a 2.5-2.6 internal volume box, 3.25 cf net internal should be used.

Joe X
Or build your own, bear in mind that depending on your vehicle a box may not fit or be impossible to get inside.
