CJtech323
I have had this sub for 6 months now in a 1.0 ft^3 sealed box and love it. I am giving it 1000w at 2 ohm from a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1BD. Since school is out I now finally have time to build a ported box for it. I have spent the last couple of days designing it and think I have it right, but I wanted to put it up here for reviewing becuase this is my first ported box design. I did not go with a regular rectangle box though becuase it is going in a BMW 323i, and I dont have a lot of trunk space to use. The measurements are: External: Width: 30" Height: 12" D1: 14" D2: 19" Internal: Width: 28" Height: 10.5" D1: 13.25" D2: 19" Port Length: 23.75” Port Area: 22^2” Net Volume: 2.069 ft^3 Gross Volume: 2.79 ft^3 Port Displacement: 0.302 ft^3 Sub Displacement (Vas): 0.418 ft^3 Port Tuning: 30hz Here is a pic of the box in Skethup: Here is the pic of the ISD graph. The purple line is the 1.0ft^3 sealed box, the green is the new box: Please comment on this and tell me if I am doing anything wrong Edited May 28, 2008 by CJtech323
