Bass4Lyfe
I've seen a bunch of threads about porting through the rear deck (Not porting in terms of box porting but just to let air escape into the cabin in trunk cars, i.e. you don't have to tune it just cut a hole) How would one do this? Does the size of the hole matter? Does box placement matter if you're doing this? Just wondering as I'm interested in this .... always have to fold my seat down to get good bass! tacomabanga1986
well there's acually 2 ways of doin this, there "venting" threw rear deck like u want to do and then theres "porting" threw rear deck were u like put aeros into the box and run em up to rear deck and go like that, my buddy did 4 mtx 8500 15's ina toyota camery and just cut out the rear deck and put like a mesh grill back in its place and it fukin wanged, but i was askin a while back on portin my 15's in my honda threw teh rear speaker holes and i think someone said to get a long enulf port for it to work the tuneing would be off, im thinkin bout cuttin a hole in my back seat were teh armrest is and let the air flow threw there, i hope this helps, but ventin threw rear deck will work just gotta cut some of the metal away in it so u can get better air flow but ied just try to move rear speakers somewere else and make those holes bigger or just go wit seat down always worked for me here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit

I did that with my car at first it really didnt do a whole lot for what was done to it if I was you would cut the whole rear deck out and make the subs fire up and the port fire up it would give it alot of room to breathe

Bass4Lyfe
yeah that is ported through the rear deck which is sickkk but i'm not sure if i want that. we got to talking and i think we're going to cut 2 6 inch holes in the rear deck and drop some trim in there and call it a day ... this'll be in a few week just spent 600 on alarm which i love ~Matthew 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6 3L (1) ScyTek Astra 4000RS-2W-1 2-Way Remote Start Alarm with Shock and Proximity (1) 20% Tint All Around (Gately Audio) (1) 250 Amperage HO Alternator (1) Big 3 Done In 1/0 (2) Kinetik HC2400 Power Cell (1) Alpine IVA-D106 Receiver (1) Peripheral Video Bypass Device (4) Alpine SPS-17C2 Speakers (1) Alpine KCE-422i iPod Control Interface (4) Sheets Dynamat Extreme; for speakers (1) 10 Square Feet Hushmat (Trunk & Rear Deck) (4) DC Audio Level 4 15" D2 Subwoofer w/ Level 5 Coils (1) Wall Built By David, Tuned to 32 Hz (1) Rockford Fosgate T40001bd Amplifier (1) Stinger 1/0 Wiring (2 runs of + 2 runs of -) (1) Stinger Volt Meter
