Unusual question for sub box

Recommended Posts

Ok right now I have 4 12 subs in a ported box . Sun firing up port to rear . The problem I have is my sub has huge windows on the back side and my 3 door rear hatch. When I am playing I feel like I am losing a lot out of those windows . What would happen if I turned the box around and put side top and back on the box so everything was having to go forward . Would it sound like crap . I thought about building a wall but I like to see out of my side and rear glass .

I don't know that worst loses happen in glass windows, rather it occurs in large thin metallic parts like the roof of large vehicles or where ever you se flex happening, Any place you see flex happening you need to apply deadening.

Anyways when you have a system level issue you need to post what is your full system components, your electrical (including wiring) and what is your vehicle, your box specs and a lot of pictures.

Lastly a wall is not a box firing forward subs and ports, what a wall does is reducing the cabin size, increasing output significantly, a box specially in the middle of a cabin firing forward will probably do worse than a properly placed subs up / port back box.

300 amp HO alternator
4 runs of 1/0 ofc
2 100ah agm
48am lithium
I have 6 6.5 midbass
I have 6 6.5 mid range
I have 6 1 inch silk dome tweeters.
I have 4 Audiopipe bdc2 -12 running off of two JP23 strapped .
The box is net volume of 10 cubic feet with 120 square inches of port. The subs are firing up port back .
Sound deading has only been done to the roof and yes it rattled like a Mofo
Also the rear side windows move out an inch while playing so much when I was. Driving in the rain it would come in .
The rear doors and hatch just go crazy
This is what I was thinking about doing at the c pillar. I have never built a 4th or a 6th and there is no good info on how to do it right . I have talk to some people but they want 160.00 for the design . So I thought maybe this would work or just do a ported wall and go with 6 twelves.
So it’s basically just turning the box around and ding sides and top and back to try and seal it off at the c pillar . Would this just be a waste of time .mom. It sure I have never done one like this before . But building a c pillar wall would be easy.IMG_3714.thumb.jpeg.13eccf240c7bbb90cbe3160324c55416.jpeg
