swervinmylac Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 have the lanzar sbd77n 7" indash unit... when i first got it, i hooked up the REAR preouts to my subs and i got horrible noise. disconnected rca's and used the SUB preout on the headunit and everything was fine. do i need to test those rca jacks on the HU to see if they are bad and if the are bad is there a way around it cuz i plan on running an amp to my dash and door spearkers with them
PaulO2288 Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 You could have a bad preout put. Sometimes they go bad. Ive had a few that went bad and it is pointless for me if either my front or sub goes out. Maybe they need to be grounded from that output.
swervinmylac Posted May 29, 2008 Author Report Posted May 29, 2008 would it just be grounded to the chassis or to the radio. and is it possible to run my dash and door speakers just from the FRONT rca preouts?
