impala4life Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Hey, can someone give me a link to where i can get a HO Alt for a 1983 chevy impala 3.8L 229-9 V6. I'm only getting 11.4v with my system at 1/2 volume, and about 10.6v with my system at full volume. Would a deep cell battery help as well. I plan on upgrading the big 3 as soon as I get a new alt. One more question. On my H/U there is a visualizer that tells me how many volts i am getting, is that how many volts i am getting to my H/U or my whole system?

impala4life Posted May 30, 2008 Author Report Posted May 30, 2008 The other topic i never asked about the HO Alt, most of the replies were all on upgrading the big 3 one of them mentioned the ho alt which i was looking into today and did find a decent company thats why i posted a new topic. I was working on my car today and decided to get some actual numbers so peeps reading could get a better understanding on what im dealing with.
