cheezy Posted March 25, 2025 Report Posted March 25, 2025 15" box build attempt pls rip apart TY Hello! Well here's my first attempt at building a box for my svr15d2 skar sub linked below. My main question is really if it seems like it's properly tuned and displacements are correct. It seems the sub from the manufacturer wants; Recommended Ported Volume: 3.00 ~ 3.45 ft³ Recommended Tuning Frequency: 32 Hz Recommended Port Area: 38.75 in² Cut-out Diameter 14.32" Mounting Depth 7.23" Total Height 8.50" Outside Diameter 15.51" Magnet Diameter 6.93" Displacement 0.251 If anyone has some time to rip into it or give me the green light to build it if it's good. Or if you've built a single svr15 skar box that is better then this hit me up! Thank you all really appreciated!!!! https://subbox.pro/en/b/OqDEppcB0
EricM9104 Posted March 25, 2025 Report Posted March 25, 2025 Box seems to line up with Skar's specs... Wood thickness, 3/4" is minimum recommended, and doubling up on front baffle for better reinforcement. Box is on the bigger end, which is fine if you're either powering to RMS or under-powering it. 2015 Honda Civic LX 4dr | 110k miles | Stock 1996 GMC Yukon SLT 4dr 4wd | 260k miles | JVC Head-unit
cheezy Posted March 26, 2025 Author Report Posted March 26, 2025 Hello, yes it is directly to spec I guess, and yes it will be ran at rms match
