All Night Long
that mic looks like a douche nozzle LMFAO You've never seen one of these AC mics before? That was the standard in db drag and all other spl comps back in the day. When I started competing back in '99 that's all that was around at the shows. Every once and a while you would see a B&K meter or even a Linear X meter, but for the most part it was the "douche nozzle" Audio Controls. I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but just asking if you hadn't seen one until this thread.
~digital~bass~
There is an AC down here that is about 5-7db's off from the Tl. Quote Car Audio + Bodyboarding/Longboarding = LIFE!!!
DRAMAQUEEN
so im assuming no matter what i should go with the TL score? I always thought the ac's tended to give HIGHER numbers Quote ** in with the new**96 grand am GT 2- dc lv 3 12'smemphis mc1000d145.3@46 hz** out with old**96 Grand am GT12w71000/1 143.6 @ 46 hz on the new TLhttp://img220.imageshack.us/my.php?image=av1023dc4.jpg

meade916
the audio control meters are usely more dbs than the TL though. there is a sensitivity type knobs on the meter its self for the ac meter maybe they wernt adjusted right, even thoe its calibrated dont mean the sensitivty is right. even steve said that the AC with the spl60 sensor is only 1 or 2 db off from the TL side by side. what sensor was they using was it a mic or sensor? actually, the ac190 not the ac160....the 190 has a "sensor" like the TL does......the 160 is a "wand" type mic. You get whatever DB the person running the meter gives you with those considering turning the sensitivity knob right on the front can change your reading by like 10-20db (or more). To me, its not that the AC160(old mic) isnt accurate, its more like it can be so far off depending on who has their slimy fingers on the gain..... oh ya, ive never seen a AC mic that wasnt "freshly calibrated" lol.......everyone who owns or operates one of these says that Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
