00sdime00 Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 There is a bit more maintenance involved in owning a bagged truck that is a daily driver than most realize...especially if when buying someone elses "project" as you do not know how it was put together....sure it may be a good deal, but if you do not know what you're getting yourself into, I would recommend you stay away and start a project of your own...that way you know exactly how it was built and there will be no suprises. Just my opinion, of course. A half-wit gave you a piece of his mind, and you held on to it. My Youtube vids...enjoy anythings possible with the right build =] we accept visa and mastercard =]

Just my opinion, of course. That is my main concern also. One of my teammates and friend bought a bagged s-10. It looked like a project that was half way finished. All kinds of problems with it. Starting with the bags not even being welded on, just sitting there. But with me and my brother both knowing a good bit about the repair and maintaining, if I do get this the first thing I'd probably do is strip it down to see how everything is run (interior and exterior) and order spare parts. Take a good look at it and make sure there are no obvious signs of a hack job. Hell, get some good pics of the suspension the rest of the air ride eqpt and post them up...I can help by pointing out what, if anything, is wrong or needs some attention.
