TechSys Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 I currently run that headunit. Easy to bypass. All ya gotta do is wrap the green dotted wire around the antenna plug, then plug the antenna in. Works like a charm. Have fun with that unit. I love mine. Team Pinnacle / Team SouthEastSPL / Team SoundStream / Team GPI / GPI Sales Rep for Florida and Georgia

memphis_finest1 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 great head unit but when it gets hot it doenst like to read burned dvds just a little FYI ALLAH's the most gracious, he made the universe the most spaciousSeen and heard in all places, but still appear facelessEmbraces all races, all caste and all casesIn every spec of life he's the substance of all traces
benz280se Posted June 23, 2008 Author Report Posted June 23, 2008 great head unit but when it gets hot it doenst like to read burned dvds just a little FYIive been away for awhile. thanks for the heads up on that unit. my unit has no problem playing burned dvd's in fact it'll play dvd's that my home player won't. when mine gets really hot it just doesn't like to give them back, and i gotta press eject a couple of times. so i guess they all do something strange when the heat is on, at least mine will still play the dvd's http://sonicelectronix.com/item_10112_Powe...PTID-4003.html#
CUT BUDDY Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 yeah just hook the brake wire to groundwill this work on most headunits that have a brake wire requirement? I sold a Excelon due to the fact that the only reason I bought it was for the EQ features. I didnt need it because Im going active so headunit eqs are a waste of time for me. I was thinking of going with something more basic but still a clean looking and nice sounding unit....really liking this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12285_...-P5000DVD.html# I noticed in the pic it had a brake wire and I was wondering would the samething apply in this case TEAM MechMan Alternators
WickedToys1 Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 no for that head unit you will need to hook-up a toggle switch inline with the ground. in othere words take the parking brake wire hook it up to one side of the switch and take a ground and hook it up to the other side of the switch and everytime you start your vehicle you will need to flip the switch on and off to make the screen work. http://www.DCSOUNDLAB.com/01 Chevy Silverado X-CabPioneer 4900 in Dash3 Stinger 2150'sIraggi 260 amp Alt.1/0 Stinger Wiring(2) DC lvl 5 18's(2) Hifonics Cyclops10 cu box tuned to 27hz
