The amp I'll be running is the SMD 8500.1D  still working on electrical more cost for 1 ohm

Box I'm building is 6.53 cube ft. It's aLittle small but to late. Custom plexiglass so on..

Skyhigh BMX "15 are rate at 2500 RMS.. in 4 sq ft box. looking at spec

1ohm Fs: 23.62 hz , BL 20.7, Qms 4.866 , Ms.472.6 grams, Db SL 85.18

2ohm Fs:21.67 hz  BL 27.73, Qms 5.142 , MS 540.5 grams, Db SL 84.59

Love the spec at 2ohm lower FS, higher BL & MS 540.5 grams !!!

SMD 8.500.1D does 5700 watt at 2ohms and BMX 2,500 RMD perfect match

Or  should I run at 1ohm throw all the power and have alot of head room will the sound be alot worse?  Release extra 2,800 - maxing out the amp

Or run at 2ohm that have better numbers with a MS 540.5 gram ( moving air like an 18" subwoofer)

2ohm is the perfect match.. so 🤔   should I run at 1ohm..?

1ohm or 2ohm.. ?  Think the 1ohm will be like 5db louder , but 2ohm would have a cleaner sound right?

Would you run 1ohm or 2ohm??

Please let me know.. I'm losing sleep.. its 4:31am right now. Plan on ordering subs soon

2ohm be much clean bass.. or should I run 1ohm? Less cleaner bass or is it the same.?

Would I hear a difference in sound quality?? I know the 1ohm will have 2800 more power but if it's sloop and as clean. Rattle do 2ohm..

Someone in car audio please let me know.. want to but subs tomorrow

You're going to be choking them in that small of a box, regardless of being D1 or D2, definitely won't see a 5db difference either because of this.

The higher BL on the D2 is due to more windings on the voice coil to create the higher resistance load. If you have to ask, run it at 2ohm to stay close within the rated power rating.

With sub-bass frequencies, the THD factors between 1ohm and 2ohm is not audible, this is more of a factor with mids/highs.
