Mrbubbles00482 Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 Im going to be purchasing two Fi BL 12's for my setup. At first I wanted to go with a hifonics brutus 2608D, but seeing as all my high's and mid's are kicker, along with matching kicker amps I might as well get kicker amps also for the subs. My question is go with two 1000.1's two 1500.1's or one 2500.1? At first I thought two 1000.1's since most of their birth sheets are for over 1000 watts RMS at 2 ohms, but then I thought it might be enough considering Fi's subs ability to handle mass amounts of power. Then I thought two 1500.1's but that might be to much, then came the 2500.1 which seems to be about right. any suggestions?
All Night Long Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 I would give the 2 1500.1's a shot. I know of a guy running two of them on 2 solo x 12's and they were really loud. Then he added two more 1500.1's and the car didn't gain that much, but the point is that it is possible to get really loud off of 2 1500.1's. If those amps do more than the 1500 rated watts then they will be a bit stronger than a 2500.1, so that's your best bet for maximum power.
Mrbubbles00482 Posted May 31, 2008 Author Report Posted May 31, 2008 The 1500.1's is what I've been leaning towards. Do kicker amps automatically adjust when using the line out from one sub amp to another? There is no master/slave switch on the amp, so im thinking there isn't. If they don't I can just get a maxx-link though.
A&W ROOTBEER Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 get the 1500's and just watch your gains..set them accordingly and you'll be ok..
