Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2

Recommended Posts

I am planning on installing a 3sixty.2, but have a question first. Right now since my head unit does not have a dedicated subwoofer output, I am using a line output converter and and using the rear speaker signal for my subwoofer signal (the rear speakers were basically BMW's subwoofer in the sound system for my car) .

Here is a quick picture I drew up of the speaker layout in my car:

I converted the rear deck speakers ouput for my subs becuase they only have bass running to them and no mid level sound, the 3" speakers take care of that.

Here is a list of the radio harness wires for my Car:

Radio Connector --

1 - yellow/red - left front +

2 - blue red - right front +

3 - yellow/black - left rear +

4 - black (not used)

5 - violet/white 12 volt switched (HU power line)

6 - blue/black - right rear +

7 - white / red - Not Used

8 - brown/orange - left front -

9 - red/green positive terminal battery connection

10 - white Not Used

11 - brown/orange - right front -

12 - brown/orange - left rear -

13 - grey/red illumination

14 - brown/orange - right rear -

15 - brown - ground

16 - white - remote amp turn on

This harness runs to an amp in the trunk which then outputs the 10 separate speaker signals. What I would do when hooking up the 3sixty is run the Left and Right front and rear signals from the HU to the 3sixty. Basically I am asking if the 3sixty takes this signal and converts it into the Front, Rear, and Sub/Center RCA outputs, or do I have to supply it with a sub line input for the Sub RCA output to work. Thanks a lot.
