Basshead2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 I am trying to find the most inexpensive battery to run the system I am running. Has to be able to stick with about 5000w of power. All I have right now is a 10 farad capacitor. kentb Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 5000w is no joke, you need to upgrade your alt, upgrade your stock batt and put a couple of big batts in the back. also big 3. Basshead2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Author Report Posted June 8, 2008 5000w is no joke, you need to upgrade your alt, upgrade your stock batt and put a couple of big batts in the back. also big 3. See I have no idea how to measure exactly how many batteries I will need to power it. I am estimating my RMS wattage usage at around 4k-5k at all times. I am running 1 guage from the front to the rear and I plan on running a distrubution block to 4 amps with 4 guage. I just have to figure out how many batteries I will need and what kind I should use. Also is the 4 guage wiring overdoing it? kentb Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 its better if you use 0/1 gauge because i assume you will run 1k watts rms per amp? you can just estimate, like the powermaster and the kinetik series, their model numbers can give an ballpark figure on how many watts it can run. kinetik hc2400 (2.4k watts) - just an example. and have 0/1 gauge at least all throughout New System 2 10" Fi SSD, Sundown 1500d Build I build and design enclosures(cheap price), PM ME Kicker L7 Navigator(plexiglass, fiberglass, aeroport) Build BTL 18" Escalade(plexiglass, battery tray) Build http://www.kentbaudio.com Old System

It is gonna take me forever to figure out how to wire this damn thing correctly lol Howard A.K.A.- Ol' Mater Current systems Speakers: -2 15" Kicker Comp VR -4 15" Lanzar ProMax -2 Kicker comp 6.5's -4 infinity tweeters Amps: -1 HiFonics 750w mono -1 Kicker 550.1 -1 Lanzar Vibe 2ch 2000w -1 Legacy Predator 2ch 2000w Items I have bought for new builds: -2 Kicker Solo X 18's -2 Kicker Solobaric L7 15's -2 HiFonics Xx Goliath 5000w Monoblock Ultra D class
wL<3bass Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Just tell me what amps you are running....b/c your honestly making 0 sense. edit: and the ohm load. O yeah and kinetik has a calculator on there site to calculate batteries, also there is no point to get all these batteries if you don't have the alt to charge them.
