Any subs out there in that price range that will get louder while still sounding good? I've had to change my budget on my next go round and was thinking of 2 15's and these are in the perfect price range.

For the price I dont think you can beat them I have 2 in my car running off of 3000 watts rms per subs and they love the power and sound good on that power also

Yep and I have never had a problem I am running them with aluminum coils but I have also ran the same power to the same subs with copper coils and they also took the power just fine

Don't believe I'd be running quite that much to them, probably around that for the pair. How well do they do on the low end?

In my car they do very well on the lows and I have it tuned to 40 hertz

Indeed, my 4 12s was nuts on lows at 40hz

And took 2 500.1s at .5 ohm without a problem til i blew one on my own fault

I run 2 15" HD3's off two zx2500.1's @ 1 ohm I think they're getting around 2800 wrms each. My enclosure is tuned to 31hz and I can slam the lows, 25hz tones wangs lol

they handle the lows and power very well. The excursion is huge as well.

I was thinking about tuning around 33hz. I read the RMS is 1000 can they really be ran that much over?
