Mosin Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 IMO Kicker cvrs are the best bang for the buck subs out there. Here are some vids of a pair of cvr 15s I played around with in my Explorer. They are powered by a Sundown 1500d. The box is basic Kicker specs of 6ft w/ four 4" ports tuned to 35hz. There is no doubt in my mind that I could get over a 148 with a higher spl tune. I was really stupid/careless when setting the gains on my amp and accidentally ran 1200 clipped watts to each sub for about 20 seconds. HOLY SHIT it was loud, but i was uber lucky it didn't kill them. The only thing even close I would conpare them to is some typr r's, but if you have a good deal on kicker, grab 'em and run. I have ran my 400rms with 600 rms for several competitions and did a 140.1 with my setup in my sig with the song "elevator".
