I have a 2 farad cap and the ONLY reason I use it is because it has a voltage display on it. And it was free. Multiple batteries would be a good idea if you are running 5500 watts. and a new alternator

Well with 5500 watts, you might want to look into at least two extra nice, big batteries for the trunk.

What size wire do you have and do you have the big 3 upgraded?

i would do 2 Optima YellowTops if your on a budget but if you have the money, go with 2 Deka Intimidator 9a31's.

I think you wire them up like + from batt 1 to - on batt 2, someone fix this if its wrong

Should be fine, Run a power wire 0 guage from your front battery to your back battery, and find a good ground on the frame for the battery in the back.

all the batts do is store power to be used, like a cap, but in much greater quantities. batts should be wired in parallel, and a HO alternator is almost a must for a 5500 watt system to not have serios voltage drops

rock on ill try that but i dont have enough cash for a bigger alt so ill just have to wait but ill try the 2 batts for now untill i get enough cash for a better alt thx for the advice ,so does any one want to buy a cap lol j/k
