Boon
Are you going for competition SPL-spl or just loud-music-spl? They're 2 very different things Just chuck a couple of bits of 4" pipe through the same face as the woofer and call it a day. Make them nice and long though or your tuning will be messed up! 10.x volts fo' life!

crabmustang
Put a 4" inside diameter pvc pipe 4" long in the box facing the rear, that will tune to about 35hz in that box. Hope this helps

Hope this helps 4" long, are you sure about that tuning? I would go 2 4" pipes at the least. You need a bit more port area for a 15" sub. Just make them as long as you can (leave like 4-5" at the back for the ports to 'breathe' and I'm sure you'll be happy with it. You can always pull them out and cut them shorter, just think about it carefully when you put them in 10.x volts fo' life!

Boon
so these ports really make that much differnce? With 1 8" sub off 500w it was a little over 12dB for us _b That's quite a lot louder Your mileage may vary... 10.x volts fo' life!
