rizzy71 Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 my mom was just watching Property Virgins on tv, i heard them say the house was $729,000 so i looked to see how nice of a house it was. it was around 1800 sqft. not a finished basement. Our house is 3270sqft. and we had it appraised a few years ago and it was around $220,000 everything in the house is completely remodeled including the basement, with a 2 car garage. It's crazy how location makes that much of a difference. Near a school, near a jail, near water, on the water, on the marsh, property backs up to a state park, property on a ridge line overlooking city, property over looking a railroad yard, big city, small city, east coast , west coast, with a basement or in a flood zone.
