ChiTownTBird312
any and all info is good...even if its tellin me im an idiot. but the box i have will be useless for what im going with now...so my dad said he wants to use it. he said he just wants bass...doesnt care about sq he just wants the shit to bang. so i told him about the btl, he liked it, said he would get a couple for the box. then i explained to him what you guys explained to me...basicly that the box is too small. i had an idea though...since the box total would be just over 3 cubes in volume (both sides combined) if i were to take out the center divider and make it just one chamber, seal up one hole and port the box, would it work good for one 12" btl? i havent really thought much about it....but its just an idea that popped into my head just now Quote Matt W. 1996 Thunderbird LX Sport 4.6 new system soon...still deciding on what to get. Noobtastic14
If you can find a way to combine the cambers then it will work as if it is one large box and 3cuft is PLENTY for a 12 (actually a bit much) if you could mod the box to be 2-2.5cuft with a port you will have good results. how much power? -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. ChiTownTBird312
no power right now.....hes probably going to run 2000-2500 rms to it though. you really think 3cuft is a little much for a 12" BTL? edit: ill be able to make it into one chamber...the center divider is only screwed in..not nailed Edited July 16, 2008 by ChiTownTBird312 Quote Matt W. 1996 Thunderbird LX Sport 4.6 new system soon...still deciding on what to get. Noobtastic14
bracing bracing bracing i'd say your in the right ballpark- enough headroom to add port pretty easily, a good size port will drop you closer to 2.5 anyways -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional.
