trulywickedcustoms Posted July 20, 2008 Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 the amps are jbl 1400.1 i hate them so far? they play and sound good but when you crank the deck and get the sub actually pounding they shut off(almost as if they loose their power, and they slowly fade back in... but only to cut back out after abt 20 sec..?) any ideas i have sent off 2 of my amps to jbl they say they have them fixxed ... but they also said my new 4 that i just ordered will not do this??? but yes they do...... and to top it off they said they dnt have the time to mess with my amps for now..... no protection lights.... no popping not a single thing.... they act as if i cut the power off and plug them back in???? they punch rly hard then cut out then fade back in and cut agn..... PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!! I ran my GTO601.1 at 1ohm (recommended 2ohm) at 14.4v never once had an issue with it or it getting hot. I know its not the same amp but JBL makes a pretty bullet proof amplifier for its price range. How many subs are you running off one of those? im running at 3 ohms i have 1- 15"gti on each i have 6 amps and 6 15's.. my volt doesnt drop under 12 but do you thnk that is to low???? and as i said they dont get rly hot just warm... i have always been vry pleased with jbl untill this product i bought 2 of these abt 2 months ago and these 4 now and they all do the same thing????
