MECHMAN Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 We did an install on an explorer using (6) Powermaster D925's and one 260 amp alternator on about 8,000 watts rms and it had virtually no voltage drop playing music. The customer opted for those bats because they are short/shallow enough to be mounted under his car. I would say go for it, in our testing more smaller batteries had a faster burst discarge rate (good for SPL) than fewer large batteries. It turned out super clean, too because the batteries were totally hidden, and didn't take up space inside the truck. where can i get a dual alt bracket for my blazer and mla module?and how much for these?? and also i need help if i use the small P.M. batteries and do 5 of them instead of 2 d3100's will that be sufficiant enough for around 10,000 rms? i already have 6 runs of 0g. and 0g to all amps.... i was going to use caps but i have been told not to with as much power as ill be using??? hit me up with your ideas and ill try n draw sumthin up on the pc to show you guys what and where im wrkn on getn these batteries mounted 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
01xtreme Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 I dont think anyone is just making a drop in dual alternator bracket for any S-series vehicles, so it is going to have to be fabricated. I know they fit well side by side, but you will have to relocate your coolant overflow, I think. My System: Pioneer AVH-P3200BT 4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors) 8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash) 1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs) 2-18" BTL's (for now) Crescendo 3kwp (for sale) Complete rebuild coming soon...

It will definatley fit, you can put the second right next to the factory location, but it is definately going to take some doing.
