twiztid8322 Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 I have a 97 civic 2 door Wondering if it would be louder in a wall ported box where my rear seats are, blocking off the backseat of the car behind me. Or making a ported box for the trunk? Four 15" kicker cvr's at 2 ohm on a zx1500.1 amp with 0 guage wire and the big 3. And whats the best hz to tune the box at? And what size box ? Im not so worried about SQ . Just the most bass for my buck. Also the boxes will be 2 seperate ones with 2 speakers in each box. Should I also make a wall between each sub inside the box so they have there own seperate port? *2 many questions but better knowing than not knowing*
audiofanaticz Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Just make a single chamber wall in your back seat for all the subs. Nothing else will be louder.
twiztid8322 Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 Just make a single chamber wall in your back seat for all the subs.Nothing else will be louder. Cant make a single chamber box. Wood that high and wide wont fit thru the door.
audiofanaticz Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Lol... It will fit. build it inside the car. This cutout is for two 18's. Its about 40 inches high and 60 inches wide and it went through the door.
twiztid8322 Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 I measured and its not going to fit 4 15" . That cutout of 2 18" you did looks like it wasnt even difficult to fit it in those huge doors. Im doing a whole wall like from the top of the roof to the floor. Its impossible to fit and make a huge box inside a civic. Not impossible but its a bitch. And id rather do 2 seperate boxes, so whenever i sell the car I can take them in and out easy and sell them in the boxes to upgrade. Because we all know that we upgrade. But building a walled box inside a civic is just a cramp waiting to kill. I will be adding the puzzle peices of wood to block off every hole from the front seats to the rear. Just to seal the cab properly
