CrownMe Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 I was just wondering if anyone on here was successful in hooking up an external Hard Drive to their Head Unit. If so details please: What kind of HU: What Kind of HD: HD Capacity: How you set it up: How it worked out: I know you can always get an Ipod ready HU and hook up a 160 gb iPod. But buying an external HD would most likely be a more feasible way, annnd you could go anywhere and upload music/files instead of being restricted to you're iTunes account. Bought from : decafcappucino, and dwright27

The hard drive case had a USB output and the HU had a usb input, just connected them together. How it worked out: ok i guess the HU would only regonize up to 999 songs so it was pointless to go over that many. I think you would be better off with a ipod you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. DC POWER
