hoppinAltima
Im building a box for 2 15" alpine type R subs. The box is going to be sealed and the product spec say to give it 1.625 net volume per sub. But it also say that it will tune around 44 hz. If i want it lower than that should i make the box a little bigger? I was thinking of making the box 16.5" H x 34" L x 13" D. O also do i need to put any bracing inside this box?? Yes, If you want it tuned lower, big a bigger box. One center brace should be fine. Edit: Why do you want your box sealed? banginAltima
Okay, Odds are you will have to double the box vol. to get it in the 30's... Quote If you build it, db's will come... banginAltima
double the box vol. for a sealed one? To get it to play low freqs you may have too. But you could damage the subs if you go to big. Quote If you build it, db's will come... NSPL World Record Holder Trunk 0-1800 watts---147.9 with 1722 clamped watts @ 40Hz(9-20-09).
