is it as simple as just running power and ground wires from the alternators to the batterys? im gonna have two groups of three. (three for each amp ) of course they will be fused. what else will i need

What type car? Our stand alone module can do all your needs if you run GM/Ford alts and get you more voltage as well.

if you just want that alternator to charge the audio batteries alone, i would think you just run the power wires straight to the audio batteries.

You can run a pro duel volt module for comps. Our 15v module is for your 12v system and is the only way to fully charge a battery. You would need our stand alone unit for the seperate alts. GM units are plug and play very easy install. We have some stickers white and silver courtesy of Mr derrick.

Here is why we suggest a module. We had a customer buy a duel module and ran them seperate like you are saying. Example) The voltage to his facory alt was 15v (fine) He wired the second alt direct to the back batteries and it jumped to 18v. When he tied them back together they both ran at 15v. Your cars charging system uses sensing wires to control the voltage and when you seperate the alts it no longer has a reference point. Our (stand alone) module has this function built into it, and can then run on its own at 15,18,24volts it wouldn't matter nor affect your cars electrical.
