ChiTownTBird312 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 well i got my fi subs and they have been just sitting and collecting dust and im going to wait to build a box for them when i get a truck or suv next year. in the mean time i picked up a couple 12" type r's from a friend of mine. i went on alpines website to find box dimensions but i didnt see any. does anybody know the recommended box dimensions for them ported? ill probably get killed for asking, but are there any prefab boxes that would work with them? also, i have 4 pioneer 6x8's i got from walmart for cheap and i want something better now...any suggestions on 6x8 speakers that have good bass response and nice mid range and highs. i know i cant expect too much bass out of 6x8's but still. thanks Matt W. 1996 Thunderbird LX Sport 4.6 new system soon...still deciding on what to get.

AI James Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 id recommend making an adapter plate so that you have more range of speakers to look at in a 6.5 size

AI James Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 no offense but none of the brands you recommended sound remotely the same.
