I am actually a cheap bastard myself...never had any problems with Bondo brand resin/filler although it is hated on the world over...IMO it's about knowing the limitations of the materials and using them accordingly.I know the stuff at Tap is what Steve uses/used so maybe hit him up..but I know it's pretty pricey too cuz it's "legit"...I'll have to take a look at their lineup again b4 I make any rec's. -EDIT: http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=35& Structural layup resin...$61.70/gallon. Look at how Steve put mirrored plexi in the hoopty...hella strong glue. The only other option I would trust is making a frame of mdf or other wood that over lays the edge of the plexiglass you wanna attach, and then screwing it down over the top/around the edges to sandwich the plexi in, and you should still use glue, or roughly the same as that but just predrill/screw and glue the plexi down and then make a beauty panel that covers over the screws around the edges. You got options.
