I have gotten a ticket for the same thing and actually looked up the law. if you are in the intersection at all when the light is red you are in the wrong. not saying he couldn't have been cooler and given you a warning or something, but it is what it is. if he was following you from the minutes you got on the street you shouldn't have dont that. Im not saying im glad he got the ticket, running a yellow is kinda playing roulette. You could make it through and be fine, or you could do it infront of a hard-assed cop and get a ticket...which sounds like what heppened. If I were a cop would I have given him a ticket? No, but if had just stopped at the light you wouldn't have gotten puller over. Sucks you got a ticket, bro. Im not trying to justify the cop, just playing devil's advocate here.
