Multiple Wire Runs Question

I have a question..

My old amp had 1 power input for a 0 gauge wire. The amp I'm buying now has 2 power inputs.

My current wiring is for 1 run of 0 gauge from under the hood to the back of the car.

I want to know If I have to do a another run of 0 gauge from the hood to satisfy the 2 power inputs or can I just connect wires to the second input from my batteries in the back?

Thanks

Okay but there won't be any power loss? I'm trying to accomplish 5000rms out of 1 amp.

With that much power u should do multiple runs to the batteries in the back then use a distribution block from batt. to amp

Alright, could you point me in the right direction on which kind of distribution block to get? Thanks =)

you can always just run them off the battery. do both runs of + to the batteries and them from that same positive terminal on the battery, run 2 1/0 to the amp
