Do your fans turn on?

If not it could be a bad relay, coolant temp switch or fan motor. (Hot wire it to test the motor)

If they do turn on then your thermostat is probaly stuck.

Your headgasket can make your car do this to but you will most likely be able to tell because of the loss of compression in your motor, you will have no power at all basically. (And be leaking coolant)

Definately check the coolant temp sensor.

I would replace the thermostat anyways, its only like 5 bucks and can be installed in less than 10 minutes.

Probably not the head gasket, if it doesn't smoke alot, isn't hesitatant(sp) or doesn't have anything liquid coming out of the exhaust

Does it cool down at high RPMs?

fans do not turn on.

power production is down only a little but the plugs are shot

it pours out white smoke

the only liquid coming out of the exhaust is oil and carbon
