Heres the old altenator. I just had this thing rebuilt and rewound for higher output and I had bought an MLA module for it.(All that woked great and is stuff worth holding onto.)

I guess I did waste some money but like I said before I really wasn't planning on these upgrades, they just happened. Fuck I don't know?

I have to give it to the guys at Mechman alts. They did a great job packageing my alt I was really impressed with everything when I started to open the package.

Overall I am very, very impressed with this alt so far.

Theres a pic of my very unexpected surprize that I'm happy as hell to have gotten. Didn't ask for it but happy its there.

Well shit I don't know about all you guys but when I get a new toy....well hell I couldn't help but go ahead and get it installed the day it showed up.

But first alittle comparrison shot of the 2 alts and my little surprise.

It might not be a big deal to alot of you guys but my big surprise was that my alt came with a built in voltage regulator.

With that I don't need the factory plug, I don't need the MLA module, I don't need anything hooked up to it at all and now I have full control over my voltage with nothing more than a little phillips screw driver.

I just thought it was a really cool addition.

(its the big red box)

Well I can't post up the install pics because PhotoPhuckit is haveing maintenance issues so I'll get the rest of the pics up tomorrow. BS

I was hopeing for a straight up bolt in place product but it never seems to work like that. I had to do alittle notching and metal streching to get it in there but its in there. I do need a new belt really bad though.

I need to have acouple pieces fabricated for me and I think I'll be done in the engine compartment.

I'll get those pics up when PhotoPhuckit starts working for me again.

Well PhotoPhuckit is working again, so I guess I'am too.

Like I was saying, I was hoping to take the alt out to the truck and just bolt it on........Nope.

Like with all bolt on projects my alt wasn't going to bolt up without a little fight.

The damn thing was off by just a small hair and man did I get pissed........So I went and got a saw and got unpissed. LOL.

Like I said it was only off a hair but I got it to fit.

So after I calmed down and thought about things for awhile, I realized the only tool I had around to cut out the metal was my jig-saw. I got it out and put a metal blade in it and started to hack away and I was really surprised the metal cut easyer than butter.

So I got this piece of metal notched out but it wasn't quite enough. I had to go to the other mounting hole on the truck and put a cut in the metal then I had to bend it flatter.

Once I got all this done, my alt finally bolted into place.

Here it is, all hooked up and running well. You can see in the pics that I had something hooked up to it. That was my MLA module. With the module it made my voltage run way to high so I have taken it out and am only useing the built in adjustable voltage regulator that is on my Mechman alt.

Like I said before I do need to order a new belt, I just hope I do it before my old one breaks. LOL

The only thing I have left to show everyone today is my new battery. This was an accident too.

My Grandfather has an old 1976 CJ5 that he uses here on the property to get around. He has been haveing battery problems all year long and finaily killed the battery dead.

I had been planning on putting a deep cycle battery in the jeep because I knew they could take the abuse that the normal battery was haveing to go through.

Luckily Mechman had another battery sale at the same time so I got ahold of a Power Master D2400 battery and am going to use it in the truck as my starter battery.

Last night before I started posting up pics, I was out in the barn yanking my Stinger SP1000 out of the truck and got it installed in the jeep and got the D2400 hooked up to my power supply to charge it up some before it goes in the truck.

The plan for the day is to get the D2400 mounted in the truck. Now this is going to take some effort because this battery is alot bigger than I thought it was going to be and I have no way to hold the damn thing in place.

I think today might get interesting.

I put out the word that I needed a replacement heatsink and luckily Jack got ahold of me and had almost what I was looking for so I had him ship it to me.

Well when I got it I could see it was in good shape and it was actually the limited edition Pro BD1500 heatsink. After I got it cleaned up it turned out to be a beautiful heatsink so I decided that I would put my modded 1501BD into the special pro heatsink.

Just so you know there was nothing different between the Pro amp and the normal versions.

LOL since my amp is modded I think now I can really consider it a Pro version. LOL.

There was alittle work to it mostly just working with the LED's but all is well and all is done and I'm happy as hell.

Some pics.

The Heatsink my modded amp was in.

The new heatsink. MMMM its shiney.
