MTX J30 Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 i have two subs in my 97 nissan altima but i havent installed them yet. im gonna have a place like best buy or someplace like that install it for me. should i place the subs in the back of the trunk or the front. by back of the trunk i mean closer to me while im driving. Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"
banginAltima Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 I always got the best results when the subs were as far back as possible (close to the license plate). If you build it, db's will come... NSPL World Record Holder Trunk 0-1800 watts---147.9 with 1722 clamped watts @ 40Hz(9-20-09). [benH] 6:24 pm: clipping doesn't really hurt subs [benH] 6:24 pm: being an idiot is what blows subs
Decaf Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 fire them sub back port back towards the license plate... but move ur box as close to the cabin entrance as possible... supposdely this allows for more of the waves to form before entering the cabin... and make sure the port is no closer than the width of the port so for a 4*15" port it needs at least 4 inches till the rear of the trunk to "breathe" properly
